Tennis Court Viewing Stand Upgrade

The Tennis Club has recently completed a major remodel of their ‘Kitchen" area and Viewing Area. Work on this project started back in 2015 when the project team for this upgrade solicited pledges from Tennis Club members. Members pledged to 'redeem' their pledge after the project was approved by the Club Board of Directors; the pledges to be redeemed with a donation to the Evergreen Villages Foundation.

The project ran into various challenges as the project progressed; but the work is now complete with a nice new kitchen, and new seating in the viewing area.  With the pledge process, Tennis Club members raised $41,260 and the Villages Club Board will pay the remainder of the costs of of $4,826.34 (because the project was simplified during the project development, no additional funds were needed from the Evergreen Villages Foundation General Funds.)

Thank you, EVF! The Tennis Club recently held a celebration to honor our many donors who generously gave towards the upgrade to the tennis court viewing stands food service area. Can you imagine, just a few years ago, we fought water intrusion and vermin intrusion into our storage area? Now, we have steel cabinetry with stainless steel drawers, each designated for a specific purpose and a deep ice chest that keeps our drinks frosty cold. It is state of the art … an upgrade that puts the tennis court viewing area above others in our area, consistent with the quality amenities the Villages offers.

 

EVS was a faithful and important partner in this project.  The Tennis Club is grateful for the shared vision of this project and financial contribution.   We are so proud of the upgrade and look forward to sharing it with our Tennis Club members and other Villagers as well as other clubs who visit our courts.
