Meet the Board
President
Debbie Champion
Debbie moved to The Villages with her husband, Jan, in 2013. A litigation paralegal, she worked on complex trial cases for over 30 years. While working in the legal field, Debbie also remained committed to volunteer work. She served as President of the Board of Directors of the non-profit Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley for 4 years. While at The Villages, Debbie served on the Club Board of Directors for 3 years as Secretary, Vice President and then President of the Club Board in 2017/2018. She has been Chair of the Policy Review Committee, is on the Verano Social Committee, is an area rep with the Emergency Preparedness Committee, and is a member of the Communications Advisory Committee. She is also on the team that organizes the Welcome to our Website events.

EVF has a wonderful mission to enhance our community by supporting capital improvements that benefit our residents. I will work diligently to help promote that mission.”

Pat and her husband Barry Sardis moved to the Villages in 2011. They consider themselves incredibly lucky to live in what they consider to be one of the premier developments in Silicon Valley.
As a fourth-generation native Californian, her passion for all things local and regional runs deep. After retiring from a 30-year career in marketing communications in Silicon Valley, including over 15 years with Cisco Systems, Pat is delighted to share her extensive experience with the Evergreen Villages Foundation. Along with her work with the EVF, Pat is an Association Board Director. Outside of the Villages, she is a former Director of Communication for the San Jose/Santa Clara League of Women Voters

Teddy moved to The Villages in 2013. She retired after 25 years with the Valley Water District; most of those years were spent as the district’s public information officer. Teddy served on the Club and Homeowners’ corporations’ board of directors, as well as the Villages Medical Auxiliary and the Women’s Long 9 and Par 3 golf club boards. Her committee participation includes the Homeowners’ Corporation’s Architectural Control Committee and the Club Board’s Villages Golf Committee.
“I thrive on community involvement. Perhaps this stems from working most of my career in the public sector. Whatever the reason, I believe in giving back and EVF seems like a good place for me to bring my Villages’ experience on other boards and committees to good use. I love living here and helping to enhance our community for current and future residents is my goal as an EVF Board member.”

Garry Gray
Garry and his wife Kay moved to the Villages in 2011. He grew up in Marin County and received degrees in business from universities in Arizona and Colorado. Since moving to The Villages he has been active in several clubs including being vice president of the Pickleball Club for the past three years. In addition, he served on The Villages 2017 GM Search Committee.
Garry spent 32 years working in Information Systems for Hewlett-Packard. He started with HP in Palo Alto and then was transferred to Colorado, Seattle, San Diego and back to Palo Alto in roles ranging from Programmer/Analyst to worldwide Director of Manufacturing, Procurement and Engineering Information Systems.
“We feel very fortunate to live in such a wonderful community. I want to contribute what I can to help The Villages achieve its vision to be the country club of choice for seniors in California. I am honored to have an opportunity to work with the EVF in its efforts to support and fund significant capital improvements”.

Diana Hallock
Diana moved into the Villages with her husband, Hal, in 2011. She spent her thirty-four career in education as a school district librarian, classroom teacher and fifteen years as a school administrator. A fourth-generation San Jose resident, Diana retired in June 2016 and promptly joined the Evergreen Villages Foundation.
“I joined EVF because I wanted to belong to a terrific team that actively seeks to improve the quality of life for all Villagers through physical and programmatic improvements. I have worked with several current Board members in the Village Voices, in the 18 Hole Ladies Golf Group, and on the Verano DAC committee. They are all highly professional, open-minded, and dedicated to our community. My vision for EVF is to be a vital part of improvement projects that serve a broad range of Villagers through sports, social engagement, performing arts, service and continuing education while preserving our beautiful, park-like neighborhoods.
