Villagers Make a Difference and Improve Amenities at the Bistro Patio

The Villages Golf Committee requested funding from the Foundation to replace the fire pit in the Bistro Patio. In August, the EVF Board approved $5,000 from the general fund to support the replacement of the fire pit and also began a campaign to raise funds specifically for the Fire Pit Project.  An additional $3,564 was contributed from 40 fire pit donors for a total of $8,564.

At the September 29th Villages Golf and Country Club Board Meeting, board members unanimously approved the replacement of the existing fire pit at a cost of $9,600 and allocated $1,086 from Reserve funds to supplement the private contributions (so far the Club costs have been $916).

The new fire pit is an amenity improvement that will enhance the welcoming ambiance of the Bistro Patio and extend seasonal use of the patio, too. YOUR gifts made this all happen and we thank you!
