EVF Annouces the 2026 Shredding Event
The EVF members-only Flights and Bites events continue to amaze the attendees. The sold-out events are examples of the unique experience enjoyed by attendees.
At a recent event, guests were introduced to Late Harvest and Dessert Wines. These wines are made from grapes left on the vine for a more extended period, allowing them to become sweeter and more concentrated in flavor.
Another event demonstrated how the complex wines from the Bordeaux region are made with precise blends of some of the world's most vibrant red wines.

The 2026 EVF Shredding Event will take place on April 25th from 9:00am to 11:15am
Last year, residents disposed of over a ton of paper at the shredding event in the Cribari East parking lot when EVF volunteers dumped large numbers of boxes and sacks of paper material into the shredder for over three hours. The event generated $ 2,926 for the EVF General Fund.

The annual shredding event is just one way the EVF supports our beautiful Villages community.

As we begin 2026, we look forward to continuing to play a role in helping to enhance our Villages amenities. Thanks to a specific bequest through our Planned Giving Program, we have been able to offer to fully fund a Tennis Court Restroom at the site of the current Tennis Shack. Working along with the Club Board, we hope to make this project a reality. We also look forward to assisting the Club Board with contributions towards the Table Tennis Room enhancements and towards upgraded AV equipment at Foothill Center. And there are other projects which we hope to contribute towards this year and in coming years. And none of this would be possible without you, our generous donors and supporters.
Besides Planned Giving, another way to help EVF with its mission is through our successful Sustaining Member program. This program continues to add money to the EVF General Fund for the support of Villages projects like the recent Bocce Courts enhancement project. And our Sustaining Members continue to enjoy their sustaining member benefits including our popular Flights & Bites wine-tasting evenings.
