EVF Flights and Bites
The 2026 Shredding Event was a Big Success
The EVF members-only Flights and Bites events continue to amaze the attendees. The sold-out events are examples of the unique experience enjoyed by attendees.
At a recent event, guests were introduced to Late Harvest and Dessert Wines. These wines are made from grapes left on the vine for a more extended period, allowing them to become sweeter and more concentrated in flavor.
Another event demonstrated how the complex wines from the Bordeaux region are made with precise blends of some of the world's most vibrant red wines.

This year, over 200 residents disposed their useless paper at the shredding event in the Cribari East parking lot. EVF volunteers dumped large numbers of boxes and sacks of paper material into the shredder for over three hours. The event generated $ 2,801 for the EVF Fund.

The annual shredding event is just one way the EVF supports our beautiful Villages community.

The Evergreen Villages Foundation continues to support lasting capital improvements in The Villages. Without the generosity of our donors and supporters, EVF could not continue with that mission. EVF has helped enhance Golf, Pickleball, Bocce, Tennis, Hiking Trails, the Fitness Center, the Clubhouse and Bistro Patio—and so much more! And none of this would be possible without you, our generous donors and supporters.
We have two current projects that EVF is supporting. One is the Table Tennis Room enhancements project. The second, the Tennis Court Restroom project, is being funded with a specific bequest through our Planned Giving program.
Besides Planned Giving, another way to help EVF with its mission is through our successful Sustaining Member program. This program continues to add money to the EVF General Fund for the support of Villages projects like the recent Bocce Courts enhancement project. And our Sustaining Members continue to enjoy their sustaining member benefits including our popular Flights & Bites wine-tasting evenings.
